The course is held at Meet Ullevål Stadion in Oslo, with physical attendance lasting from 845 am to 6 pm. Program will be sent out in advance

Registration

The course fee is NOK 4,000 and includes:

  • A one-day course (9 hours) with the following topics: What is osteoarthritis, treatment of knee and hip osteoarthritis, nutrition and weight loss, exercises and progression, physical test and electronic registry system, how to conduct the osteoarthritis school, and experiences from AktivA®
  • Food throughout the day including coffee/tea, lunch buffet, refreshments during the breaks and in the afternoon
  • Access to various course materials you may use in your own clinic, including all PDFs from the course day, brochures and leaflets for patients – with free supply by post as needed
  • AktivA® materials (T-shirts, USB flash drive with PowerPoint/PDF for the osteoarthritis school etc.)
  • Access to the electronic quality registry where results may be used in communication with the patiens and other healthcare professionals such at physicians, ortopeadic surgeons and nutritionists
  • Password and username to our website with up-to-date information and materials

What is AktivA®?

AktivA® consists of three components: A structured education program for physiotherapists, an evidence-based information and exercise program for patients with hip or knee osteoarthritis, and a quality registry.

What is osteoarthritis?

Osteoarthritis is a rheumatic joint disease that affects the entire joint including the joint lining, joint fluid, joint capsule, cartilage within the joint, and the bone tissue beneath the cartilage. The ligaments and surrounding muscles are also affected.
