What is AktivA®?

AktivA® is an implementation model for treatment of hip and/or knee osteoarthritis. AktivA® consists of three components: A structured education program for physiotherapists, an evidence-based information and exercise program for patients with hip or knee osteoarthritis, and a quality registry.

What is osteoarthitis?

Osteoarthritis is a rheumatic joint disease that affects the entire joint including the joint lining, joint fluid, joint capsule, cartilage within the joint, and the bone tissue beneath the cartilage. The ligaments and surrounding muscles are also affected. It is very common, particularly among middle-aged and older people.
